Personal data

Personal data are details concerning personal or material circumstances about an identified or identifiable natural person. This includes information such as your correct name, postal address, email address, company name, address, telephone number and other information about you or your company. Personal information may also include data that are in the public domain.

General information about data processing

Essentially, we collect and use personal data about our users only to the extent required to provide a functional website and our contents and services. As a rule, users’ personal data are collected and used only if they have given their consent. Cases where consent cannot be obtained beforehand for practical reasons and data are allowed to be processed owing to statutory regulations are excepted.

Legal bases for processing your data:

  • Insofar as we obtain the consent of the affected person for processing personal data, Art. 6, para. 1, lit. a EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) provides the legal basis.
  • The legal basis for processing personal data in our own interests is Art. 6, para. 1 lit. f GDPR.

Collection and processing personal data

Whenever you visit our website, our web server typically stores on a temporary basis, in the interests of system security, the connection data of the requesting computer, the pages you visit from our website, the date and the duration of your visit, the identification data of the used browser type and operating system type, as well as the website from which you visit ours. No personal details going beyond the aforementioned data, such as your name, postal address, telephone number or email address, are recorded unless such details are given voluntarily, as part of a registration process or a request for information in the contact form, for example.

Personal data are not disclosed to third parties

We use the personal data you provide solely for the purpose of fulfilling your requirements. In other words, usually in order to process and answer your enquiry. We do not use these data for product-related surveys or marketing purposes. Your personal data are not disclosed, sold or otherwise transmitted to third parties.

Data will be transmitted to a third-party country outside of the European Union, which is not a contracting state to the Agreement on the European Economic Area, only if such data transmission is required to fulfil the terms of a contract existing between yourselves and ourselves (delivery to a third-party country, for example).

Contact form

If a user takes advantage of this function, the data entered into the input screen are transmitted to us and stored. At the instant the message is submitted, the following data are also stored: IP address, date and time. In order to process the data, your consent is obtained and reference is made to this privacy statement as part of the submission process. Alternatively, contact can be made using the email address provided. In this case, the personal data transmitted in the email will be stored. The data are not disclosed to third parties. The data are used solely to process the conversation.

Data Security

We take all the technical and organisational security measures required to protect your personal data from loss and misuse. Consequently, your data are stored in a secure operating environment that cannot be accessed by the general public. If you wish to contact us by email, please be aware that the confidentiality of the transmitted information is not guaranteed. The content of your email can be viewed by third parties. We therefore recommend that you send us confidential information only by mail. The data will be deleted as soon as they are no longer required to achieve the purpose for which they are collected. If users contact us via email, they can object to their personal data being saved at any time. In such cases, the conversation cannot be continued.

Newsletter

You can request our Newsletter through a Double Opt-In process on our website. If you give us your express consent, we will send you Newsletters via email accompanied by advertising material. Our Newsletters contain information about our range of services, campaigns, events and contributions/articles. Once the affected person has subscribed, they will receive a confirmation email containing an activation link that has to be confirmed to complete the subscription process. If you subscribe to our Newsletter, we will store your IP address and the date of subscription. We store this information solely as proof in case a third party misuses your email address in order to subscribe to the Newsletter without your knowledge or consent. The personal data additionally stored during the submission process will be deleted after seven days at the latest. If you wish to stop receiving Newsletters at a later date, you can revoke your consent at any time.

Use of Cookies

We use Cookies. Cookies are small text files stored by the browser on the computer system. If you open this website again, your browser will return the content of the cookies to the provider concerned, and therefore the end device can be recognized. Legal remedy

Case-by-case right to object

You have the right, for reasons ensuing from your particular situation, to object at any time to the processing of your personal data, which occurs pursuant to Article 6, para. 1, letter e GDPR (Data processing in the public interest) and Article 6, para. 1, letter f GDPR (Data processing for the balancing of interests).
